Whit Green, Costal Basins Section Unpublished Material IRL_Central_B_Shore vector digital data \\WRM-2PPGMB1\C$\Old D\BMAPS\IRL_BMAP\Central\IRL_Central_B_ShorePZ_Clip IRL_Central_B_Shore This layer originally taken from the HDS Surface Water Basins coverage, now found in SDE.earth GISLIB.Hydro_drainage for the IRL/Banana River/Mosquito Lagoon basins. This was changed by Ed Carter to show seagrass cluster segments within each of the "sub-lagoon" regions (v:\irl\covs\boundaries\clbasindis3). Drainage areas (DAs) came from a shape file developed by Chirs Basci (v:\eng13\IRL\GIS\covs\IRL_plrg\da_021111) under the supervision of the Hydrologic Modeling Section, Division of Engineering, primarily Marc Adkins. The DAs represent unique drainage catchments integrated into the HSPF model. The coverage was modified by Whit Green to reflect current development and other information gained on drainage patterns and boundaries for Turkey Creek, Crane Creek, Eau Gallie River and Horse Creek watersheds. Additional changes were made to incorporate fieldwork in delineating drainage for the following areas: Baytree, Suntree, Palm Shores, Pineda, Viera, Bonaventure, Rockledge and City of Cocoa. Changes were based on data obtained from Aerial Photogrammetric Mapping of Malabar area; stormwater loading studies in Malabar, Crane Creek and South Prong of Sebastian; drainage studies for Rockledge, Palm Bay, North Merritt Is., and Oak Hill; dialogue and meetings with Palm Bay regulatory staff (Fariborz Zanganeh, Ralph Brown and John Juilianna), and numerous days of on-site reconnaissance during the period 1999-2006. Changes were also made to combine certain seagrass cluster segments together. Specifically, IR12 and IR13A were joined and named IR12. IR13B then became IR13. Segments IR14 and IR15 were combined into segment IR14-15. These segment changes were done by consensus of ES Coastal Basins staff and predicated upon hydraulic analysis as well as similarity of water quality data. IRL_Central_B_Shore was extracted from IRL_Seg_08 by reselecting for Segments IR16-21. Shorelines were taken from the feature class IRL_Shoreline_1999_Segments_New_Final located at X:\ES\IRL\projects\all\layers\IRL_General_Layers.mdb\Shoreline_and_Segments. The intent is to update the boundaries of the major basin, sub-lagoon regions, seagrass segments, and catchment drainage areas to reflect best available information on current drainage conditions and to be consistent with that used for watershed loading models. Information contained in this layer should be considered provisional and not officially adopted by the SJRWMD unless otherwise noted herein. A fair amount of changes were based upon site reconnaissance during or soon following storm events, but there is a large amount of interconnectivity between some watersheds where drainage divides are dependent upon subtle changes in elevation of drainage conveyances.
