Shown below is a list of SOPs used in our lab to review and authorize data, prior to generating final reports that are sent to our customers. An Event is a sampling event, that usually collects sample within a 24-hour interval. Some events may last multiple days. Depending on the types of analysis (tests) requested, the samples in an event data are logged into either a single or multiple Jobs. The assignment of samples to jobs is a function of the sample matrix, type of sample preservation, type of analyses requested etc. Jobs typically have no more than 20 samples. The first three SOPs listed below are general SOPs that are followed by all Chemistry groups and Biology, where relevant. The last four SOPs are group specific – Nutrients, Metals, Pesticides & BNA and finally Volatiles.
