Hi Tony,

FDEP needs all data for the Caloosahatchee TMDL modeling update by the end of the week.

Please send any available data for the Caloosahatchee FAVT project that is associated with stages, pumping, monitoring reports, etc. in the HHWCD by the end of the day on Thursday, 4/14.

Thank you,

Hi Tony,

Could you please provide FDACS with the reports that Water & Soil Solutions has to submit to SFWMD on a monthly basis for the Caloosahatchee FAVT project?

We would like to share this data, and any other pertinent data, with Tetra Tech and FDEP for the Caloosahatchee TMDL Modeling update.

Thank you,

Subject: Monitoring Data in the Hendry-Hilliard Water Control District - CR TMDL Modeling Effort

Hi Tony,

As you are aware, FDACS is working with FDEP and Tetra Tech regarding the modeling effort for Caloosahatchee River TMDL development.

As part of that effort, Tetra Tech and FDEP are in need of any data that would assist in making the HSPF model better simulate irrigation withdrawals from the Caloosahatchee River by the 298 districts.   I informed Tetra Tech and FDEP about the Caloosahatchee FAVT that FDACS funds and the MOU that Water & Soil Solutions has with Hendry-Hilliard Water Control District and SFWMD.  I explained that WSS would have data that would better represent stages, etc. within HHWCD than what it currently proposed to be used in the HSPF model (i.e., crop irrigation demands, ET, etc.).

Would you mind sending me the reports that WSS has to submit to SFWMD on a monthly basis?  Please let me know if there might be any concerns you would have in sharing this data with FDEP and Tetra Tech.  Ultimately, I think it would be beneficial to fine tune the models used in CR’s TMDL development process so that agriculture’s load allocation is as close to reality as possible.

Thanks!
