Instructions - Joint Application Section A, Part 4

Part 4 is asking for the basic measurement information for your project.  If your project is federally funded, include the metric equivalent of all measurements.

A. Name of Project, including phase if applicable:

If the project is named and/or phased, enter the full name of the project, including the phase a project that is divided into seperate parts to be completed at different times or under different circumstances. These parts are called phases.(s).  

Examples: Maple Groves Estates, Phase II; Sunny Hill Golf Resort, Phases 1-3. 

If the project is not named, leave it blank.

B. Is this application for part of a multi-phase project?

If this application is only for one part of a multi-phase project, check the box for yes.  Write the number of phases that are expected to be in the project

Example: This application is for Phase 1, the total number of expected Phases is 3

If the project will not be done in phases, check the box for no.

C. Total applicant-owned area contiguous to the project?

Enter the total area owned or controlled by the applicant that adjoin to share a boundary with, to be next to next to something. Example: my next door neighbor's property adjoins my property. the project area in acres and hectares.  All acreage must be included, even if other parcels are not being considered for permitting at this time.

Example: if the applicant owns 3 parcels of land that are connected to each other, but is only submitting the permit application for 1 of those parcels, the applicant must enter the area of all 3 parcels here.

D. Total area served by the system All structures and all areas established by earth-moving in which surface water flow or storage has been altered.:

Enter the project area in acres and hectares.  The project area is usually the property boundary, phase boundary, or the area that is intended to be used for the project and served by the stormwater the flow of water which results from, and which occurs immediately following, a rain event management system.

E. Impervious area for which a permit is sought:

Impervious land surfaces that do not allow, or minimally allow, the penetration of water; such as building roofs, normal concreate and asphalt pavements, and some fine grained soils such as clays. For purposes of implementing stormwater treatment quality and quantity requirements, the calculation of the amount of impervious surface does not include wetlands or other surface waters. area is the area in uplands that will be altered in a way that will block the ability of stormwater to filter through the soil.  Examples include concrete pavement, roofs, foundations, asphalt, etc.

Enter the impervious area in acres and hectares.

F. Volume of water that the system is capable of impounding:

If there will be a stormwater pond or other stormwater retention, detention or other treatment area, enter the volume that the system is capable of holding in acre-feet the amount of water needed to cover 1 acres of land in 1 foot of water (43,560 cubic feet or 325,851.4 US gallons). and cubic meters.

G. What is the total area of work in, on or over wetlands or other surface waters?

Enter the total area of work in, on or over wetlands those areas that are inundated or saturated by surface water or ground water at a frequency and a duration sufficient to support, and under normal circumstances to support, a prevalence of vegetation typically adapted for life in saturated soils. Soils present in wetlands generally are classified as hydric or alluvial, or possess characteristics that are associated with reducing soil conditions. The prevalent vegetation in wetlands generally consists of facultative or obligate hydrophytic macrophytes that are typically adapted to areas having soil conditions described above. These species, due to morphological, physiological, or reproductive adaptations, have the ability to grow, reproduce or persist in aquatic environments or anaerobic soil conditions. Florida wetlands generally include swamps, marshes, bayheads, bogs, cypress domes and strands, sloughs, wet prairies, riverine swamps and marshes, hydric seepage slopes, tidal marshes, mangrove swamps and other similar areas. Florida wetlands generally do not include longleaf or slash pine flatwoods with an understory dominated by saw palmetto. or other surface waters water upon the surface of the earth, whether contained in bounds created naturally or artificially or diffused. Water from natural springs is classified as surface water when it exits from the spring onto the earth's surface. in acres, hectares, square feet and square meters.

H. Total volume of material to be dredged:

Enter the total volume, in cubic yards and cubic meters, of any material that will be dredged (removed from wetlands or other surface waters) from the project site.

I. Number of new boat slips proposed:

If your project will involve the construction of new boat slips, enter the number of wet slips and the number of dry slips.
