Part I - Site Information

Part I is asking for general information about the project site. All required documents must be submitted on 8.5" x 11" (letter size) paper.

 

A. Provide a map(s) of the project area and vicinity delineating USDA/SCS soil types.

 

 

Note: SCS soil maps are now called NRCS soil maps.

 

B. Provide recent aerials, legible for photo interpretation with a scale of 1" = 400 ft, or more detailed, with project boundaries delineated on the aerial.

 

Recent aerial photos may be obtained in a few different ways.

 

  1. You can obtain them from your county property appraiser's website mapping application. See the list of property appraiser's web sites for Florida Counties.
  2. You can use a GIS mapping application or engineering software if available to you, your engineer or agent.
  3. See the help document titled "How to get an Aerial Photograph" to learn how to use the Department's mapping application, Map Direct to get aerial photographs for your project.

 

C. Identify the seasonal high water or mean high tide elevation and normal pool or mean low tide elevation for each on site wetland or surface water, including receiving water into which runoff will be discharged.  Include dates, datum and methods used to determine these elevations.

 

 

D. Identify the wet season high water tables at the locations representative of the entire project site.  Include dates, datum, and methods used to determine these elevations.
