Data set developed from paper maps as adopted during Leon County Commission meetings. Geometry of areas is generally based on parcel boundaries at the time of adoption.
Coverage was delineated using records from several agencies, Leon County Public Works, Talquin Electric Cooperative and The City of Tallahassee. These records were cross referenced with in-house records and Board of County Commissioners minutes where ever possible. Boundary was established using existing parcel coverage as a base map. The APPROVALDT field has been removed; users needing approval date information for specific areas should contact Leon County Public Works. The coverage will be updated as new Service areas are approved by the Board of County Commissioners.
