For your septic map…see attached.  This is the first installment…

This is from Gainesville Regional Utilities.  

3 layers:

1) Location of sewer mains.  They expressed Homeland Security concerns with DEP using this 
data.  They do not want the shapefiles used in a manner that would allow someone to locate 
sewer lines.  Guess they’re afraid of someone blowing them up?  Regardless, it’s a request we 
need to respect. Please use & store this layer accordingly.
2) Sewer Service Polygon: No use/distribution issues here.  However, be aware that not all 
parcels within this polygon are served by sewer.  
3) Location of Septic Tanks Within/Near the Sewer Service Area: The septic tank shapefile is 
unverified.  No use/distribution issues with this one, either.  See the disclaimer attached 
(language from GRU).
